Richie Cunningham:  07951 458620

Keeping the landowners happy – if you pass through a gate that is open, leave it open, if the gate is closed, please close this behind you.  DO NOT DROP LITTER.

DO NOT ANNOY THE ANIMALS.  If you are going through a farm yard, be mindful of the people working there.

Cateran mileage sign posts –  the main signage posts in each of the villages for the Cateran trail do have mile markers on these, just be aware these aren’t always accurate.

Recommended footwear – the route can be boggy in places and very muddy even in nice weather, I would recommend trail shoes but we did have 1 guy run the whole thing in road shoes last year so if that’s what you are used to running in don’t rush out and try the race in trail shoes for the first time. I’d say roughly a fifth of the route is tarmac, the rest off road.

Timing Chips / Tracker:

You will be given a timing chip and a tracker.  The timing chip will only be used at the finish and will be your official time for the race.  Your tracker will enable the race team to see where you are – and call you if you meander off the route.

Live Tracking will be here:

https://geotracks.co.uk/live/1673

No Poles

No Dogs

No Support Runners

Take earphones out when running on road sections, all road crossings and at all checkpoints.  This is for your own safety and just so you are not being a rude bugger to all the marshals !

Please ensure you have a working mobile phone that is charged and switched on – it could save you some time if you get lost !

Diversions:

There is no diversion at Kirkton of Glenisla and we have a lovely new bridge to run over !

There are trees down in Drimmie woods (between Alyth and Blairgowrie) – this will slow you down a bit but pick your way through and you will be fine.

There are diversions in place about 2 miles from the Bridge of Calley checkpoint that will be clearly marked.

There’s a couple of small trees down blocking the path at Dalnabreck, about 4 miles after Bridge of Cally (approx mile 42). Runners should carefully climb through them to regain the trail. It looks worse than it is!

Acccomodation:

For those people who have booked accommodation this will be available from Friday afternoon.  All linen is provided but you will need to bring a towel.  There is NO food provided.  You will need to bring your own, please try to keep this simple as we don’t have room for 50 people to do their cooking so suggest re-heating food / pasta / porridge in cups etc.  There will be hot water in urns provided.

Campsite / Mobile home parking.  As above this will be open from Friday afternoon.

Car registration will be checked.

There is NO electricity in the field.

There will be portable toilets.
